History of Denim
The rugged cotton fabric we know as denim dates back to the mid-to-late 1800s. It was used to make durable coveralls and pants for early miners and workers. Denim is traditionally dyed in blue and to avoid shrinkage and most denim is pre-washed. As North Americans, we tend to find faded and artificially distressed denim quite desirable…we like that worn-in look!
